pma e-newsletters now available to members

A message from our President, Maria Ciesla:  "We are beginning the grandest experiment that we have ever tried, and will keep you all informed. The PMA newsletter will go online soon, through the dedicated work of Operations Manager Richard Kujawa, Web Advisor David Majkowski, and Internal IT Director Kevin Ryba. This will be a boon for us all around, and especially for our international members, the list of which is growing.  International mailing costs for four issues a year don't even begin to equal the cost of a yearly Regular Membership. We have already  heard from a couple of international members who said they will wait for the online issues to begin. So, remaining international members and all U.S. members, please send your email addresses to our general email address so that we can notify you when the newsletter is available online."

Please use the Email link in the upper right corner of this page.

visit by spring arbor university students

Eighteen students from Spring Arbor University, Michigan visited the Museum on May 18 for a lecture on Polish Immigration to Chicago, presented by Rich Kujawa.  These are students taking a class under the direction of Dr. Paul Nemecek.  This will be the last class Dr. Nemecek will bring to the Museum since he will be teaching in Guatemala next year!  We wish him well!  There was a touch of sadness at the end of the lecture since the creation of this popular lecture was requested originally by Dr. Nemecek in 2005.  Paul has been a good friend to the Museum and we're sad that we won't see him again for some time. :(
